A Geek’s Nightmare

The 80’s sucked so bad even the movies had ‘geek culture’ wrong.

Now I wouldn’t say this is bad movie. I know I have watched it many times growing up. Taking a look at the movie and concept now, it seems they had it all wrong. Either that or it was just another shot at the Geeks and Nerds of society.

Think about it, a nerdy type(who said artists can’t be nerds) comes along, is so lonely. The guy so, being all lonely, goes and puts together a Mannequin. . .and the thing comes to life!

You have to be saying, ‘but wouldn’t that be a geek fantasy, not a geek nightmare?’. Think about it. Every time someone comes along she turns back into the doll. The last thing a Geek needs is to be seen with a doll in public. And every time he wants to show her off to his Geek friends, he can’t!!!
